H\FC Office Tour: Vita Coco

H\FC Office Tour: Vita Coco

We toured the Vita Coco office and met the team keeping coconut water alive on college campuses everywhere.

We've done a lot of office tours. This one opened with someone saying it might be the sickest office we've ever seen with Home From College. We're inclined to agree.

Vita Coco's Midtown Manhattan headquarters has the kind of energy that makes you understand immediately why people build 19-year careers there.

A Company With a Real Origin Story

Vita Coco didn't start with a big launch or a Series A. It started with founder Mike Kirban going store-to-store on rollerblades, pitching bodegas in New York City in 2007 and 2008. No fanfare. Just hustle, coconut water, and the belief that they had the best liquid and the best story.

They competed. They got pushed back. They didn't care. They kept going.

That underdog energy is still very much present in the office today.

Inside the Office

Conference rooms are named after beaches — so yes, you can book "Marazal" for your 10am. The marketing department has their own section. And then there's the kitchen: snacks, open space, more room to meet and move around. It's the kind of setup that makes staying at the office past 5pm feel less like a sacrifice and more like a choice.

The whole place feels like it was designed for people who work hard and need a space that keeps up with them — not a showroom for investors.

Why This Should Be on Your Radar

Vita Coco is actively expanding their college program and they need students to help bring the brand to life on campuses across the country.

For students who want to work somewhere that started scrappy and stayed that way even as it scaled — where the founder story is still told with pride and the social team is looking for people who bring real passion over perfect credentials — this is worth looking into.

The career path into a brand like Vita Coco doesn't require a traditional route. It requires enthusiasm, a willingness to show up, and ideally a pretty high tolerance for coconut puns.
